College Recruiting blog information and archives

The AJC’s College recruiting blog, hosted by Atlanta sports writer Michael Carvell, follows recruiters and the top high school athletes the colleges are trying to attract. The blog’s focus is athletes from metro Atlanta and the surrounding region. Our college interests start with UGA and Georgia Tech, and then to any regional or national schools that have a link to a top Georgia recruit.

2013 Signing Day: Brookwood High School linebacker Shaun McGee plays with his little brother, MaKahi Mitchell, 9, after he signed a letter of intent to play football at the University of Georgia. The AJC sports team tracks players and their stories all year, not just on National Signing Day. But we cover them that day, too, and bring readers the best recruiting stories from an Atlanta, GA focus. (Photo by Johnny Crawford, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution).
