Jayson Stanley may be the state’s best 2015 prospect at wide receiver not named Preston Williams.

The 6-foot-2, 2102-pound Stanley plays at Creekside High School, the defending Class AAAAA state champions. He has 13 early offers, including Auburn, UGA, Alabama and Clemson. He doesn’t have an offer yet from Georgia Tech, where his father played college football.

What’s the latest with Stanley? He has three schools that “are standing out.” In the above video, Stanley talks at length about the trio – Auburn, UGA and Clemson.

Stanley is a 3-star and ranked as the state’s No. 43 overall prospect.

For all you idiots that are joking about an obvious typo made by Carvell, I'm assuming he meant 6'2, 202 pounds or 212. One of the two. You trolls will find anything to grab on to.

I can understand the kid's interest in Auburn.

I can understand why he wouldn't want to play in an option offense at GT.

But I don't understand why he want to go to Clemson or UGA, unless he likes watching the NC game on TV with some popcorn around family and friends...

Tech is the institute of wide receivers. Excel at Tech and be a first rounder.

That 2102 pound kid seems a little heavy to ply WR. I think BooBOO should play him @ TE. Any word on who we are recruiting for gymnastics,swim team and equestrian ?

Would be nice to get both Stanley and Preston Williams. Wishful thinking but could happen.

@Birmingham__Jacket  He wouldn't want to play for GT for that reason you mentioned plus they aren't good and won't win more than 6-7 games in a single year and that's the best they can do. Plus who wants to play under Fish Fry who might be canned after this year?

Do you even know what the Confederate Flag stands for??  Slavery??  That's what I thought.  Maybe you should investigate the actual history.....and I'm not talking about the 'History' that you were taught in PUBLIC, or should I say 'GOVERNMENT' schools, that the information is approved by.. who??  That's right, the govenment which won he civil war, calld the Union. Don't be a fool like the Iranian's & believe everything that your Government teaches you.  Be smarter than that & research yourself.

If MC made an error on his weight how are we going to know he didn't do the same about the height???

May be that the dude is 26ft tall but that would now raise questions about whether the rational of Dawggoneit was correct on the weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will kno fo sho when the Browns(T-Brown, T-Brown Jr. and T-Brown  III)  share their lengthy opinions with us !!!!!

@gtcaryd

Notice how he mentioned Texas A&M, Oregon, UGA, Clemson, LSU and FSU because of their offenses and how they use WRs.

CPJ's gimmicky Triple-OPtion offense is costing GT great recruits and in this case a legacy that is also being sought by Notre Dame, so he does have some level of decent academics.

@DawgGoneIt

From an outsider's perspective, if Conley, Bennett, and Rumph are used very well this year and the O-line allows the pass game to develop, then you guys will have a good chance to get one or both of these guys.

How Rumph is used is critical because he is 6-5 and is in the mold of Preston Williams, and a big year by him will show PW how he'll be used at UGA.

@MikeBanning @gtcaryd

And how they use WRs???   Does he not know that if he's good enough he'll be the overwhelming main target in PJ's gimmicky Triple-OPtion offense??  Below are GT WR stats since 2004.  Rec - yards - avg/rec - tds - % of team's completions.   Notice how, in GT's best two seasons (08 & 09) that the #1 WR was the overwhelming main target?

rec - yds - avg/rec - tds - % of team completions

48 – 837 – 17.4 – 7- ’04, C.Johnson – 48% #2 & #3 each had 19% (32 rec)

54 – 888 – 16.4 – 6 - ’05, C.Johnson – 27%, #2 – 20% (40 rec)

76 – 1202 – 15.8 – 15- ’06, C.Johnson – 44%, #2 – 22% (39 rec)

37 – 588 – 15.9 – 2 - ’07, G.Smith – 21%

35 – 558 – 15.9 – 3 - ’07, D.Thomas – 20% #3 & #4 each with 14% (25 rec)

39 – 627 – 16.1 – 3 – ’08, D.Thomas – 53%, #2 & #3 each had 11% (or 8 rec)

16 – 1154 – 25.1 – 8 – ’09, D.Thomas – 59%, #2 – 10% (8 rec), #2 – 8% (6 rec)

15 – 291 – 15.4 – 3 – ’10, S.Hill – 23%, #2 – 19% (12 rec)

28 – 820 – 29.3 – 5 – ’11, S.Hill – 34%, #2 – 21% (17 rec), #3 – 16% (13 rec)

18 – 288 – 16.0 – 1 – ’12 O.Smith – 18%

18 – 284 – 15.8 – 2 – ’12 J.Greene – 18%, #3 – 16% (15 rec)

@MikeBanning Now your going out on a limb, a top recruit wants to go to our local NFL minor league football factories instead of going to a school whose offense is run first. You are on fire today!

@MikeBanning You know what i think Mike, i think if we were to go say 9-3 win the Coastal, and catch UGA with their richards in their shirt pockets and beat them. I think you will still hate CPJ, maybe you should check on some UGA season tickets for the swim team.

MikeBanning

@gtcaryd

The point that you're missing is that SOME of these recruits could be headed to GT  IF  CPJ would bring in an OC and allow that OC to modernize GT's offense.

With so many elite players like Stanley from the Metro Atl. Area and with GT connections, there has to be some of them that can graduate from GT and be willing to play for GT.

CPJ's 1960s offense is making GT a non-factor in these recruit's  decision-matrix.

CPJ's ugly offense is causing GT to be eliminated from their minds BEFORE we can request a transcript from them.
