The early frontrunner to be the state’s top high school prospect at QB for 2016 is Logan Byrd.

The 6-foot-3,215-pounder a sophomore at Veterans High School, a new school located just below Warner Robins.

Byrd has six early offers, including N.C. State, Duke, Marshall and Illinois.

He recently made an unofficial visit to UGA and met with offensive coordinator Mike Bobo (see below). Byrd also made trips last week to Tennessee (his father’s alma mater), UNC and South Carolina.

Byrd talks about UGA in the above video.

This kid looks like he's gonna be a star on and off the field in college. Red and Black looks good on him.

Hey Mike, you know how you love to report that Alabama recruits are looking around as if you get some type of pleasure out of it?

Well this just in , Terry Godwin a Ga recruit is looking around and says everybody is still in it for his services. Now  I think I get the same pleasure as you do. But hey, I am not biased either.

Offer him Richt! The guy is a fan of UGA football and has been since he was a kid. Big strong kid with a good arm. What's not to like?

Sounds like a good kid.  Hope he gets the offers he really wants.  Should be an asset to any program.

Impressive looking kid! Hard to believe he's just a sophomore.

Get a razor, Mike.  You look like a Hobo, not a Bobo.  On second thought . . .

He sure looks like an athlete.  Look forward to following his progress this fall.

He literally said "I've been a fan since I was a kid, I'm just waiting on an offer."

Richt knows more about qbs than I probably know about anything - but if he's the states #1 QB...

@JFKDawg  Man I haven't seen Bobo in a long time. The Bobo I remember didn't have a gut and always looked in shape. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it.

@Phillipdj  Doesn't know about Championship QB's.

To be fair, Brother probably has had 2 or 3 potential  championship QB's.

But every time  they would look over to the sidelines for help in big games,

Brother had nothing. Remember the last few seconds in the Bama game?

@DawgGoneIt @WhiskeyBreath  Nothing wrong with it huh?

When was the last time Mike reported a Ga recruit  looking around?

That 's because he doesn't like bringing bad news to the humps.

He can spring a rainbow as good as anybody.

I have no problem with the kids looking around.

In fact , I would encourage it just so they make the right choice.

@WB..Godwin will be at UGA and Bama's spring games.  Godwin and his family visited T_town this past weekend. Bama is in good shape but UGA is the leader.
