Prospects pour into Georgia Tech’s spring game

By Michael Carvell

Some of the state’s top prospects braved awful weather conditions to attend Georgia Tech’s spring game on Friday night.

The Yellow Jackets did not get any commitments, at least publicly, on Friday.

Here’s a recruiting recap, via Social Media:

It was practice.  Practice. Not showing up for an actual game?  That would be bad.  But it's practice. Practice!!

Being a Dawg, will simply say this.

Picking Good Friday for your Spring Game doesn't seem to be the brightest of ideas.  Will also say, weather conditions like this, especially at night, would have put a damper on anyone's numbers.

From what  I read, Tech learned some things about their team.  That's your first goal.  Did it have the same energy as some other places?  Guessing not.  And I'm sure the coaches were disappointed with that; but it's still early in the game for everyone.

Glad there were no major injuries.  Wishing Tech good luck with their season, with the exception of that one little game in Athens.

Disrespectful and delusional.   To think that a social media posting can sway young persons decision about a life changing experience, well, this is just wrong.

Had to watch on ESPN instead of being there as planned.  Horrible weather!

I heard a seemingly impossible attendance figure about the event. Can someone provide an attendance number? An estimate?

Wish the names of the people in the pictures were captioned...

@whatyagotloran  why does it matter how many people were there?

There were a few hundred on a cold rainy holiday night so what is your point.

Choosing Good Friday was not wise from the start andd to that the weather and you knew many wouldn't show up.

A hundred would be small for most Gwinnett county high schools. Good Friday or not. Was a little surprised because there are a lot of local kids on roster, rain or not surely family would show up? Not judging at all, just amazed at that number.

POAD2014,

Munson's sidekick (what ya got loran) apparently equates a team's success to their SPRING Game attendance.

Didn't his Dawgs have 40,000+ at their 2013 Spring Game? And his Dawgs still finished with 5 losses.

Carry-on, what-ya-got... you've been served.
