State’s top uncommitted OL discusses leaders

By Michael Carvell

The top-rated uncommitted offensive lineman in Georgia is Milton High School’s Nick Wilson.

Wilson, who is rated as the state’s No. 26 overall prospect, talks about five of his leading schools at length in the video. The schools are:

  • Stanford
  • Auburn
  • Florida State
  • North Carolina
  • Duke

What about Georgia Tech and UGA? Wilson said he may reach out soon again to Georgia Tech, while he’s had limited contact with UGA.

There are four offensive linemen ranked ahead of Wilson, and all of them are committed: North Gwinnett’s Mitch Hyatt (Clemson), McEachern’s Chuma Edoga (USC), Mays’ Dallas Warmack (Alabama) and Mill Creek’s Kaleb Kim (Auburn).

Of course this young man would not want to play for a bunch of perennial losers like UGA. Come on, its been 34 years since Jawga won a National Championship. But each year, the 'Necks proclaim UGA the best team in the country. Problem is...they ain't even close. LMAO.

Will be interesting to see who is the next UGA OL commit....when???? and who?? TIME FOR Will Friend to get an OL commit and TIME IN THE 4 YEARS FOR CMR TO WIN A NC!!

Of course, it may depend on how many linemen Tech wants/needs to take in this class and if they have other guys they feel are ready to commit ahead of him. Doesn't hurt to stay in touch with him, tho.

UNC and Dookie ahead of Tech?

I'll bet he's waiting to see what happens to our coaching situation after this season.

Obviously UGA is not taking an OG in this 2015 class and will only take three OT's... Edoga is still a very good possibility.... if Dallas Warmack should decide to flip to UGA it would have to be for the C position... and he might not be a take.

Best of luck to Nick Wilson with his quest for a choice of a college...  seems he already has his future team in the crosshairs (Stanford or Duke) just needs to be patient before he finally pulls the trigger...

Why would he have to call Tech?  Why isn't Tech staying in touch with him?  Do they not want him?  Obviously, I don't care about Georgia, but it seems surprising that they have shown no interest at all.

Word is that if he stays in the Southeast, he is likely headed to Auburn.  Carl Lawson is at Auburn, a former Milton teammate, as well as a couple other guys he has an established relationship with.  Whoever gets this young man will be getting an impressive young man both on and off the field according to those who know him well.

I hope TECH is going to talk to him.

He does sound like he is looking for a good fit for him between the College experience and the Football experience. Best wished and I hope he makes the best choice for him. Stanford sound great but that Home Sick and mom could influence his choice on that.

Looks like he is struggling with a decision between Football and Academics. Looks like a fine young man, best of luck in the future.

@Dawg-Gawn  This kid must really be smart. If academics is really important to him , Stanford would be my top choice.

@SupersizeThatOrder-mutt  I honestly don't think he is all that high on our board anymore. We already have Will Bryan committed and other guys like Nick Polino, and Riley Gessner seem to be getting much more attention from us.

@SupersizeThatOrder-mutt    Isn't it quite obvious by now that no decent O-linemen want to play for Tech?  Isn't it glaringly obvious why?  If you play in that high school offense for 4 years, your chances in the NFL are virtually nil.  When you leave Tech as a lineman, you have no idea how to pass protect and the NFL isn't going to waste time teaching something that many others already know how to do.

He has academic options that are as good  and he can get a shot at the NFL as well.  Sorry but that is the way it is going to be until CPJ leaves.  He won't change the offense that is for certain.  That is what the cost of having a dogmatic coach is.

@LEE3333 Auburn would be the front runner i would think, when your hot your hot! and when your not your not.

Maybe you should read the article and listen to the interview before making ignorant posts.  NOWHERE did he or the article say that he had no interest in Tech.  It (and he) said that he hadn't heard from Tech recently and that he planned on calling them.  If he has no interest, then why would he want to call them?  You're not very bright, are you?
