Georgia Tech is one of the finalists for Mikell Lands-Davis, the 3-star running back who will commit around 4 p.m. Friday.
The Alexander High School product will announce his college decision via Twitter. His four finalists are UNC, Georgia Tech, Clemson and N.C. State.
“I committing now because I feel like I know the place for me,” Lands-Davis told the AJC. “The school I’m going commit to, I just know it’s the right place. Every school I’ve visited so far, the ones I have offers from, they are all pretty nice. It’s hard to find anything wrong with any of them.
“It’s just the school I’m going to commit to, I can’t get the feeling away of wanting to go there. I just feel like it’s the right choice for me.”
The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder visited Georgia Tech last week, and has also made recruiting trips to UNC, N.C. State and Wake Forest.
Lands-Davis is ranked as the No. 55 overall prospect out of Georgia this year.
