Track star is hoping to earn UGA offer at Dawg Night

By Michael Carvell

Every year, there are a handful of Georgia kids who explode on the recruiting scene as high school seniors.

Shiloh High School’s Jeremy McDuffie is definitely one of those guys.

After turning in a dominant performance at last month’s state track meet, McDuffie has rapidly turned into one of the state’s hottest prospects with nearly 20 offers.

College scouts are understandably infatuated with McDuffie’s speed. He led Shiloh to the Class AAAAAA state championship in track as a team, while winning the 110 and 300 hurdles with blazing times (His 110 in 13.83 seconds was seventh-fastest in the nation this year).

The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder earned an offer from Florida at camp last month, and has the Gators and Duke as his leaders.

He is attending UGA camp next month, and hopes to earn an offer there, too.

McDuffie discusses his leaders, and why he likes Florida and UGA in the below video:

If this young man can do the job at WR, and shows it at the camp, I would expect that UGA will offer him. I think his family will factor in to his decision.

Hopefully, he will get an offer, and bring his blazing speed to the football team. You can't have too much speed to be on the receiving end of a pass.

I think this kid has played football and performed well. I may be wrong based on the posters who are implying he has never played football. Does anyone know his past history?

If he can catch the ball and shows some lateral quickness, drop the offer on him.  It will be interesting to see how this works out.

I hope the kid is successful. However, unless a kid has played football in high school and earned  similar praise, it doesn't seem to work.. They are not used to the hitting and they have straight line speed.

Not to mention a lot of times they don't have good hands. They drop a lot of balls.

Hope this kid proves me wrong.

Aaron Hernandez is FEATURED on a Florida Gator Approved Calendar........just too funny.

July 2014 Tight End Aaron Hernandez........honoring those who bring shame to the University.

GT_Falcon_Fan_.....if you have an extra scholly to give, giving it to a speedster is not a bad idea.  I hope UGA sees what it likes and offers.

I am very leary of "track stars" and football. Take GT's own Broderick Snoddy. He is way more talented on the track than this kid in the article ever thought of being. Very fast. State championship in Alabama fast. However, track speed is not always football speed. More times than not it isn't. That's not their fault, but show me football film, not track stats when talking about football.

I'm impressed that education and playing close to home are important to him.

Hey do you guys watch the Big Ten network (BTN)?

Y'all are on there every other night.  Whether it be your Gator Bowl loss to Nebraska, where you give up what should be an Emmy nominated 99.99 yard touchdown pass or your triple overtime loss to an inferior Mich. St. team.

Must see T.V., especially if you like comedies!

@CallingOutWhiners I tell you one thing, you can't  shame the Gators, not even murder.

I don't know what it is, but they could care less. Most of them would say so what?

But come to think about it, if it happened to Ga, they just deny it and blame the victims.

If your Crock of BS is true why has nobody ever heard of Snoddy until GT signed him to play football????

NO B O D Y is "better than this kid ever thought of being"  as far as T R A C K  is concerned!!!

@GT_Falcons_Fan_GT500 Snoddy was a RB for the Carrollton Trojans, had they kept feeding him that ball in the State Championship game they would have won. Alabama?

@TIDE_ROLL  Yeah its right up there with the butt stomping Oklahoma gave you, and.... wait for it.....-go beat b Utah...  UTAH !!!  hhahahhahaha How embarrassing !!! That's much worse than our losses, and even worse than our loss to UCF.  Geez you little elephants are pitiful.

@tide,

If you like comedies and whacky replays then check out the SEC games from last year. There is a 109.999 yard return of a missed field goal as time expired. I think it was in an Auburn game, but I don't remember their opponent ;-)

Do they show any of Bama's lowlights leading to their current 2 game losing streak?

@HotDawg If you can run hurdles that fast, i would say receiver.

@dawgeatdawg Has there ever been a year you guys don't declare yourselfs number one and a great year? Since 1980, the cheerleading crap hasn't gotten a little old besides being bs.

True......and I think you make a good point.

@Ihateorange @TIDE_ROLL Yea were pitiful alright.

3 out of the last 5 N.C. have been Bama.

More SEC championships than any school.

We have the two greatest coaches in NCAA history,

Yea punk,  we kicked your backside 2 in roll.

Yea, were pitiful alright, punk.

@Grant1296 Just out of curosity, why do you Ga people love Auburn?

They sure as hell don't like you. That game you gave them, will haunt

you the rest of your lives just like the one we gave them.

So again, why do  you guys love them?

WhiskeyBreath

@Buzz-Off What in the hell is a Buzz-off besides simple minded?

Are you a Ga, Tech , or Auburn fan?

Do you even know?

WhiskeyBreath
WhiskeyBreath

@Buzz-Off  However, we are still enjoying our 2 game winning streak of beating  Ga.

Which one is your favorite, the blackout or the 5 yard  game?

Do you think Brother was a deer in the the headlight with 10 seconds to go?

He sure as hell sold Murray down the river.

If we were dealing with a "Literate Adult" I would point out that the last word in the first line of your above post should be   "youselves" you Dumb  Bass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the heck is "2 in roll"?!?! You guys are total idiots.

@WhiskeyBreath @Grant1296

The identical question could be asked of you!!!!!!!!!!!

If you spent half as much time hitting on BARN as you do hitting on UGA

you might get a little slack from DawgNation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try it sometimes!!!!!!!!

Buzz-Off

Wow, the insecure Bammers are out in force. I love it when I upset them so easily. I think the 5 yard loss was my favorite game even though the best team lost. The blackout game was too long ago...around the time Bama was on probation compliments of UT.

....and the last sentence "yea, were pitiful alright". Hmmmmm, not sure if you are saying you guys "were" pitiful or you are currently pitiful. In that case you should say "we're".....which stands for "we are". Love the way you called the other blogger a "punk". I guess he could call you an "illiterate punk"!!!
