Miami athlete is 1st commit of UGA’s Dawg Night (UPDATED)

Shaquery Wilson, a 3-star athlete from Miami, committed to UGA on Friday, per 11Alive’s Radi Nabulsi.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder was also strongly considering Miami and Louisville.

Wilson can play safety, cornerback or wide receiver in college. Wilson said he will play DB at UGA.

Wilson is commitment No. 15 for UGA for 2015.

The Bulldogs have at least three commits who could play wide receiver, including Griffin’s Christian Owens, Callaway’s Terry Godwin, and Georgia Prep Sports Academy’s Gilbert Johnson (who signed with UGA last year but failed to qualify). Godwin could also play defense.
