Georgia Tech got its third commitment of the day when wide receiver Brandon Singleton pledged to the Yellow Jackets on Friday night.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder is from Boutte, La.

Georgia Tech now has 17 commitments from 2015 after Etowah High School offensive linemen Brad and Scott Morgan (twins) picked the Yellow Jackets earlier in the day.

Singleton has yet to be rated in the 247sports composite rankings, and he also had offers from Grambling State, Louisiana-Monroe, Northwestern State and Southeast Missouri State, according to his 247sports profile.

Singleton said LSU offered him a track scholarship after he won a state championship in the 300-meter hurdles. He has national elite times in the 300 (37.43 seconds) and 110-meter hurdles (13.91), per Nola.com.

JacketsOnline.com’s Kelly Quinlan said that Singleton is ranked as a 2-star by Rivals and expects him to be a 3-star in the next release. “He’s had a huge summer.”

he must be ok with running routes and catching one pass per game if he makes the team.

All this kid needs is a good receivers coach. As Booby Bowden used to say, " You cant coach speed." And this kid has some WHEELS! Go Jackets!

THIS IS A PLAYER THAT HAS FALLEN UNDER THE RADAR JUST LIKE MANY MANY MANY MANY GREAT PLAYERS DO SO I AM VERY HAPPY BRANDON CHOSE TECH. HE WILL BE A FINE PLAYER IN YEARS TO COME.

A True Ga.Tech Fan who will Always and Forever takes up for our Student Athletes that

always works hard in and out of the class room and displays great attitudes like 99%

Always DO!  By The Way Yes I'm a Huge Paul Johnson Fan. He did something with

Gaily's players that Gaily could never do and if not for a lapse on def. Johnson's offense

Would have defeated UGA last year!  Now that we have a A.D. that allows the Football

Program more than 1 FT Recruiter we will start to see a Huge Improvement on the Field

IN THE YEARS TO COME!    GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!!

GT doesn't recruit many kids from LA but the last 2 who came, Dawan Landry and Darryl Richard, worked out pretty well.

And a very good recruiting weekend for the Jackets could get even better. Tech has 3 potential commitments on campus today! :-)

Another good pick up.  Having already signed Christian Philpott and Harland Howell, adding Singleton deepens the position.  Tech could have a dynamic trio at WR in a few seasons.

Best decision you have made in your young life so far Brandon. Welcome to the Flats, a special place to prepare for life.

Don't blow the opportunity like some of our other kids have recently.

Why any receiver, even a 2-star, would sign with a school that has zilch for a passer, is beyond me.

Solid, solid pickup. His recruitment is going to pickup a lot during his senior season.

Got you on this one also MC ;-)

Brandon was blowing up in his recruiting after his camp performances this summer. In addition to Tech, he was also being evaluated by ARK, LSU, Baylor and Stanford. He clocked a 4.46 40 at ARK's camp in June.

Welcome to the Flats Brandon!
