So the newest recruiting trend is to create a fake magazine cover with a top prospect next to a Hollywood celebrity.
Wake Forest, of all schools, has resorted to this tactic.
One prospect is pictured with Kim Kardashian, while another one is photoshopped alongside Selena Gomez.
Tennessee may have been the trendsetter. The Volunteers started it last month with a magazine cover of an elite recruit and Beyonce.
Is this is a silly idea? Yes. But, most importantly, does it work? Yes, so that makes it a good idea, in my opinion. Anything you can do to make your letters stick out from the hundreds of other letters that a recruit gets is a successful strategy in the wacky world of recruiting.
I wonder what the celebrities think about this.
