- Update: Treyvon Paulk’s dismissal may be connected to a domestic incident over the weekend. Paulk was arguing with his ex-girlfriend, and “became agitated and struck her in the mouth with his fist,” the Knox County Sheriff’s Office told timesfreepress.com’s Patrick Brown. His ex-girlfriend is refusing to prosecute, so Paulk will not be charged.
Tennessee dismissed former Milton High School running back Treyvon Paulk from the football team for a “personal conduct issue” on Monday.
“We hold our players to a very high standard and expectation of being a member of our football family,” Tennessee coach Butch Jones told reporters on Monday. He didn’t go into any details about Paulk’s dismissal.
Paulk is a freshman who didn’t appear in any of Tennessee’s first three games.
Tennessee plays at UGA on Saturday.
