Malek Young, a 3-star cornerback from Pompano Beach, Fla., committed to UGA on Friday evening.
UGA edged out Florida State for Young, who is rated as the No. 71 overall prospect out of the state of Florida for 2016.
The Bulldogs now have nine commits, including three on defense. Young is the second UGA pledge in two days, following Thursday’s decision by Archer High School offensive lineman E.J. Price.
