We all have busy weeks. They cause us to look away from things that really matter in life. Cardio. Milkshakes. SportsCenter. Your favorite playlist or binge-watching a show on Netflix or the DVR.

UGA football and UGA recruiting probably show up somewhere on your list if you’re a frequent visitor of the AJC’s college recruiting blog.

No worries, friend. Sit down. Take a knee. Pop a chin strap and point those eyes to to the screen. Get those fingers ready for a click or two because here’s the UGA recruiting week in review:

 

SUNDAY

— UGA didn’t get a special teams boost. It lost a big leg to the Big 10

 

MONDAY

— When will Peachtree Ridge star Nigel Warrior visit UGA again?

— A 5-star recruit pled guility to a burglary charge stemming from a 2014 “Dawg Night” incident

TUESDAY

WEDNESDAY

— Another UGA commit on the trail. Malek Young hopes to bring two 4-star teammates with him to Dawg Night.

 

SATURDAY

— One of the nation’s top safeties will visit UGA on Sunday

  • UPDATE: Devwah Whaley, a 4-star running back from Beaumont, Texas, announced a top five on Saturday night, and the Bulldogs were in it, along with frontrunner Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. UGA is searching nationwide for an elite prospect at running back for this year’s recruiting class after the recent de-commitment of BJ Emmons. Whaley reported a UGA offer in February, but has yet to visit the campus.
