Erroll Thompson, a 3-star linebacker from Florence (Ala.) High School, committed to Mississippi State on Friday, he announced at his high school.
Thompson chose the Bulldogs over other finalists Alabama, Michigan, Louisville and Kentucky.
The 6-foot-2, 250-pound linebacker reeled in an offer from Mississippi State back in March and last took an unofficial visit on April 11. Thompson was firmly predicted to go to Mississippi State all along, according to 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions. He held 11 total offers.
Thompson is rated as the No. 12 inside linebacker and the No. 415 player overall in the country. He is the second linebacker to commit to the Bulldogs in 2016 and the 16th player overall.
