No. 1 WR Preston Williams remains on ‘shutdown’ with Tennessee

  • 3:03 am Monday, August 25th, 2014 by Michael Carvell

When Preston Williams said he was “shutting down” his recruiting this summer, he wasn’t kidding.

Williams is rated as the state’s No. 1 prospect at wide receiver and committed last year to Tennessee.

The senior from Lovejoy High School flirted a little bit with UGA and Florida, among others, in the spring before tiring of the recruiting process.

But is Williams really finished visiting schools?

He talked about the topic in the below video

  • 10:15 pm Monday, July 14th, 2014 by Michael Carvell

One 2016 prospect who has really been impressive at a couple of big 7-on-7 camps this summer is Villa Rica High School tight end Kris Ballinger.

He’s 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, and passes the eyeball tests with his athleticism and size.

Ballinger doesn’t have any early scholarship offers but that will change soon. He’s attending Auburn’s camp this week and will go to UGA’s Dawg Night on Friday.

He also likes Miami, Notre Dame, Missouri and Oregon, among others.

Ballinger talks about his recruiting in the below video:
